For each query, you can choose whether the AI should:

• Search your company knowledge from connected sources (documents, databases, etc.)
• Perform a live web search in addition to your private data
• Query structured data from business systems, Excel spreadsheets, and more - all in natural language

Connect data from multiple sources, including standard connectors and proprietary integrations.

Users can also attach their own files directly - including videos, audio files, images, PDFs, and more - for immediate analysis and answers.

The administrators of your Ask This Guy workspace are responsible for selecting the information that will be accessible through the assistant. They centralize, organize, and categorize this data to ensure its relevance and reliability.

Information sources can include:

• 📄 Confluence (spaces, pages, documentation bases)
• 📁 Files (PDF, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) uploaded directly to the server
• 📝 Notion: Retrieve information from your Notion workspaces.
• 💬 Slack: Search and reference conversations and files shared within Slack channels.
• ☁️ Google Drive: Access documents and files stored in Google Drive.
• 🔷 SharePoint/OneDrive: Connect to Microsoft's document repositories.
• 🌐 Web Pages automatically selected and crawled (web crawling)

🗂️ Categories to structure information access

Each source is linked to one knowledge category (for example: "Company-wide", "HR only", "Management only"). These categories serve to organize knowledge and define who can access what.

Administrators can:

• Choose which information goes into which categories
• Give each user access only to the categories they need

When you ask a question to Ask This Guy, you can choose to activate the Organization knowledge search. In this case, the assistant will search for answers in the sources you have access to, taking into account the defined categories.
